- SPK closed all TEFAS-traded funds founded by 7 portfolio management companies on TEFAS for both buying and selling and decided that the 130 funds named in the bulletin be liquidated. SPK bulletin 2026/60
- The list of funds to be liquidated was updated to 131 funds; the fund added to the list is THF (Tera Portföy Hisse Senedi (TL) Fonu (Hisse Senedi Yoğun Fon)). T. İş Bankası carries out the liquidation of the Tera Portföy funds and T.C. Ziraat Bankası that of the other six companies. For the funds closed on TEFAS by the 17 September decision, redemption orders outside TEFAS will not be executed either; for the funds whose liquidation was decided, no buy or redemption orders can be executed through channels outside TEFAS from 17 September 2026. Cash raised as the portfolio is sold will be transferred to investors in proportion to their units. Frequently Asked Questions
What does fund liquidation mean?
Liquidation means the assets in the fund portfolio are sold, the cash raised is transferred to investors in proportion to their units and the fund is wound up. For these funds the liquidation is carried out by banks appointed by SPK.
When will I be paid from a liquidated fund?
Under SPK bulletin 2026/61, the portfolio is sold at a frequency set by the liquidating bank and the cash raised is transferred to investor accounts in proportion to their units in periods set by the bank. The maximum liquidation period of 3 months set in 2026/61 was extended to 6 months by bulletin 2026/62. The period runs from the liquidation announcement date and the Board may extend it. What happened to my order of 17 September?
According to the SPK announcement of 28 September 2026, orders sent to TEFAS on 17 September 2026 were cancelled and their holders will be paid from the liquidation balance in proportion to their units in the fund.
